The Maremma is a splendid area in the South of Tuscany, for lovers of peace and quiet, wellbeing, relaxation and nature. The unpoluted sea of Monte Argentario is waiting to be discovered, with it’s small bays and fantasic surrounding villages: Porto Santa Stefano, Porto Ercole and Orbetello.
You can spend a day sunning yourself on the rocks of the Argentario or choose from one of the many beaches in the area: The Feniglia, Talamone, Ansedonia where you can rent a bicycle to ride in the 7km of pine woods,which are also a national park, Capalbio. Ferries leave every morning during the summer months from Monte Argentario to take you to one of the wonderful islands of the archipelago such as the Island of Giglio or the Island of Giannutri. For the younger at heart the Argentario also has many discos, such as The KINGS CLUB in porto Ercole (Cala Calera) and NEW LINE in Orbetello.
The WWF has developed (since 1998) a protected area in the ‘Patanella’ woods, situated in the natural reserve of the Lagone of Orbetello. Where there is a botanic route and some observation huts. Open all year round with or without guided tour.
There are many small, fascinating and interesting villages and towns in Maremma, unique and particular with their history, art and culture. Every village with surprise and delight you with its momuments and antique buildings. You can visit Pitigliano, also know as ‘little Jerusalem’, Manciano, famous for its Aldobrandesca Ruins, Sorano which is famous for its historic centre, Saturnia an original Roman town, famous above all for its thermal baths and Montemerano an attractive medieval village… all only about 40km away.
All our rooms are equipped with a private bathroom, TV, fridge and ceiling fan. Our guests have the use of a 12x6 swimming pool with sunbathing area. Within the complex there is also the ‘pizzeria spaghetteria’ LE PALME with a large gazebo to help you relax and enjoy your meal outside. The dining room is equipped with TV and air conditioning.
There is a small Children’s play area outside next to the swimming pool.
Typical ‘Maremmana’ cooking, homemade pasta and cakes, takeaway pizza and also Karaoke on Friday evenings.
We are also available for the special moments in your life, you can book for wedding parties, communions and convivial suppers with menus of your choice.
